Designing a kid’s room where they can play and grow in, can have its own set of challenges. On one hand, you want to create a fun, imaginative space that sparks their curiosity, but on the other, you want to create a beautiful functional space that will last a long time.

You kid may want to paint their room a vibrant shade of purple or blue, BUT there are much better ways to incorporate colors that are far less permanent and that can grow with them as they get older.
For instance, we love using pillows, throws, or even wallpaper to add a pop of color and bring some personality into the space. This will also allow you to easily change the look and style of your space without having to paint!
We love incorporating patterns into our designs because they add dimension, personality, and interest to a space. Mixing and matching patterns is a perfect way to add playfulness to your kid’s bedroom decor. Easy ways to do this are with wallpaper, duvet covers, artwork, and decor.
Artwork is an easy way to incorporate a child’s personality into the space, while also giving them something that builds imagination or inspires them. Inspirational quotes, animals, and florals, are simple and easy ways to do this!
When it comes to designing your kid’s room, make sure you are using performance fabrics aka easy-to-clean materials! Kids can be messy and accidents are inevitable, so choosing fabric and furniture that can stand the test of time is a must.
If you’re a parent, you know toys can easily take over a house. This means incorporating storage is extremely important. Having enough storage will not only keep your room tidy, but it will also keep the dreaded clutter out of sight.
You can get creative when adding storage to your room. For instance you can use bookshelves with differing shapes or places to add in a woven basket. You could also use shelving and highlight your child’s favorite books or toys.
Having your kids use their imaginations is pivotal to their development, so making the most of your space is a necessity. You can create spaces inside the room that is for play. In this section of the room, there would-be toys and different games. You can also add wallpaper and different colors and designs to stimulate their minds and create more engagement.
