EXPERIENCED DESIGNER

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Designer to oversee our full-service design projects, both commercial and residential.  The Designer works closely with the Principal Designer to translate their aesthetic vision into client presentations and embody Stone House Collective style. The Designer will oversee each full-service project throughout the entire process and work collaboratively with the Design Team and Principal Designer, as needed.

 We are looking for a confident person who has impeccable attention to detail and who is a natural leader. Our ideal candidate is trustworthy, positive, interactive, reliable, honest, and timely. This individual represents an energetic, logical thinker that exudes calmness with the ability to give and take direction and/or control a fast-paced, creative environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Work directly with clients as main point of contact on your projects
  • Develop scope of work and design concepts based on client needs
  • Willingness to jump in where needed – you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty
  • Work directly with design clients to bring their vision to life & execute a complete project with precision and within the very high DSI standards
  • Work with clients, suppliers, vendors and reps
  • Become an expert in the lines we carry and purchase from
  • Create and oversee Houzz portal with accurate client specifications – work directly with Procurement Manager on ordering, budget, clipping and shipping.
  • Create and Manage Bid Spec Books for trades
  • Create visually appealing and professional Design Presentations/Mood Boards
  • Create detailed and accurate CAD floor plans, electrical plans, furniture layouts, schematic design and renderings for all full service projects

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Interior Design
  • Minimum of 5+ years of interior design experience
  • Provide top-level innovative design concepts
  • Positive Leader
  • Ability to design within the Stone House aesthetic
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including space planning, hand/digital drafting
  • Extensive experience in selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window covers, materials and finishings
  • Experience with manage purchasing and budgets
  • Highly Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Canva, Excel, Houzz
  • Works well under deadlines and pressure to produce deliverables and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work Mon-Fri (40 hours per week) at our location in Shorewood, WI as well as travel to job sites throughout Wisconsin
